Biography

Eugenia Chernina is a labor economist specializing in migration, human capital, and wage dynamics. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the National Research University Higher School of Economics in Moscow in 2018, with earlier degrees from the Toulouse School of Economics, New Economic School, and Ural State University. Eugenia has held research and teaching positions at HSE, worked as a short-term consultant for the World Bank, and served as a Visiting Research Fellow at IOS Regensburg. Her work blends rigorous empirical analysis with deep insights into labor market behavior in post-Soviet and developing economies.
