Welcome to the School of Computing at New Uzbekistan Univer

Dear colleagues, partners, and friends,

It is a pleasure for me to welcome you on behalf of the School of Engineering at New Uzbekistan University. Our school stands as a flagship within the university committed to breakthroughs and the future, guided by a national mission to transform Uzbekistan’s education and research ecosystem. I am honored to lead a community where engineering education and cutting-edge research empower every learner—from kindergarden to  niversity—to be supported, inspired, and prepared to act. New Uzbekistan University is home to the nation’s most talented young minds. Our admissions are highly selective, identifying true potential, a passion for learning, and readiness to contribute. Our students form  zbekistan’s intellectual elite, representing a remarkable concentration of gifted, driven, and ambitious youth.

Our faculty brings together world-class professionals from countries all around the globe. This diverse community forms a dynamic learning environment, ignites minds, and shapes future leaders through teaching, mentorship, and collaboration. Research sits at the heart of our mission. We cultivate an ecosystem where faculty, students, and partners co-create solutions to real-world challenges across science, economy, and society. We actively promote applied research, interdisciplinary projects, and innovation initiatives with tangible impact on Uzbekistan and the broader region. Notably, we run an internal grant system that funds faculty- and student-led research, reinforcing academic freedom, creativity, and discovery.

Our ambitions extend beyond national borders. We aspire to be a flagship engineering institution for Central Asia and beyond, built on strategic partnerships with leading international institutions. These collaborations are
foundations for advancing education, research, and innovation. At the School of Engineering, we value collaboration with industry, government, and academia to accelerate progress, drive economic development, and create
meaningful opportunities for our communities. I invite our partners to engage with us in shared learning, joint research, and programs that benefit society and the  regional ecosystem.

Welcome to the family of New Uzbekistan University. I look forward to ongoing dialogue and fruitful collaboration as we work toward a brighter future for our region.

With best regards, Pavel Belov

Overview

The School of Engineering at New Uzbekistan University unites the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, and the Department of Physics into one platform for turning scientific knowledge into real capability for the Republic of Uzbekistan. As part of the country’s presidential university, the School carries a clear responsibility: to educate a new generation of engineers and scientists who can design, build, and operate the technologies that underpin national growth—reliable infrastructure, modern manufacturing, clean and efficient energy systems, advanced materials, and high-precision measurement and testing. This mission is supported by modern, practice-oriented laboratories, including an acoustics Lab, labs for wireless technologies, a robotics lab, materials science facilities, and core  physics teaching and research labs—spaces where fundamentals are tested against real constraints: safety, reliability, cost, and sustainability.

Looking ahead, the School of Engineering will help set the pace for how engineering is taught and practiced in Uzbekistan. Through research aligned with national priorities, continual investment in laboratory capability, and close partnerships with industry and public institutions, it will strengthen local expertise, reduce dependence on imported solutions, and accelerate the country’s innovation ecosystem—from prototypes and standards to deployment at scale. In doing so, the School aims to reflect the University’s ambition to be a flagship for higher education: an institution that not only trains professionals, but also raises standards, builds trust, and demonstrates that world-class engineering and science can be created and applied in Uzbekistan.

Mission & Vision

Our School of Engineering educates the next generation of engineers to solvereal problems with competence, creativity, and integrity. We combine strongfoundations in science and mathematics with hands-on learning, design projects, and close engagement with industry—because engineering is not only aboutideas, but about building solutions that work safely, reliably, and responsibly. Westrive to create a supportive, international learning environment where studentsare challenged to think critically, learn from experimentation, and grow intoleaders who communicate well and act ethically. In parallel, we advance researchand innovation that matter to society—turning knowledge into practical impact inareas such as sustainable infrastructure, modern manufacturing, energy, mobility, and digital technologies. Through partnerships locally and globally, we aim to bea trusted hub for talent and innovation, known for graduates who are ready tocontribute from day one and for research that improves quality of life andstrengthens long-term, sustainable development.
