Biography

Askar Bakhtiyarovich Abdikamalov was born in Nukus, Uzbekistan in 1992. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanics and Mathematics from the National University of Uzbekistan. In 2020, he completed his Ph.D. in Physics at Fudan University, China.

His academic career began at the Ulugh Beg Astronomical Institute in Tashkent, where he held various research positions—from Leading Engineer to Senior and then Leading Research Fellow. Since 2020, he has also been serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Physics at Fudan University.

His research focuses on:

  1. Modeling the reflection spectra from black hole accretion disks
  2. Studying optical properties of black holes
  3. Developing numerical methods for astrophysical applications
