Grant Regulation for students

This regulation defines the procedure for awarding state grants to talented students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs at New Uzbekistan University, operating under the Agency for Specialized Educational Institutions of Uzbekistan. The purpose of the grant is to support high-achieving students financially through full or partial coverage of tuition fees from the State Budget.

Eligible candidates include:

Graduates of Presidential Schools with international diplomas (IB, A-Level, etc.),

Winners of international Olympiads (IMO, IPhO, IChO, IBO, IOI),

Graduates of specialized schools within the agency’s system (within a 5% quota),

Top scorers in university entrance exams,

Applicants from socially vulnerable families listed in the Unified Social Protection Registry.

The grants are awarded either fully (100%) or partially (70% or 50%) based on academic ranking and performance. Students receiving full grants must maintain satisfactory academic progress. If performance drops, they may be required to cover the cost of repeated courses.

All grant recipients are obliged to work full-time in Uzbekistan for up to five years after graduation, in roles relevant to their specialization, regardless of organization ownership type. This is formalized through a tripartite agreement between the student, the university, and the agency. If a student fails to fulfill the work requirement or breaches other terms, they must reimburse the grant amount to the state.

The grant allocation process involves application document submission, rectoral approval of recipients, agreement signing, and timely fund transfer to the university.
