NewUU pleased to host students and faculty from Hong Kong University of Scince and Technology for the joint diploma and internship works

The first day of the “HKUST GZ PIE Program in Tashkent Summer 2026” was held at “New Uzbekistan” University. Taking place from May 23 to 30, the program brings together participants, university leadership, professors, and students through academic discussions, collaborative teamwork, and knowledge exchange activities.

As part of the program, participants first visited “New Uzbekistan” University, where they became acquainted with the university environment and took part in introductory meetings with the university administration. Following this, the practical phase of the program began with visits to local industrial and manufacturing facilities.

This initiative is designed to provide participants with a global perspective on innovation, real-world challenges, and product development processes, while also allowing them to explore experiences from different industrial and cultural environments. In addition, the program aims to strengthen professional networking opportunities, enhance practical experience, and encourage collaborative idea generation and solution development through final project presentations.

The visit once again reflected “New Uzbekistan” University’s consistent commitment to expanding international academic cooperation, creating a globally oriented and practice-driven learning environment for students, and connecting international programs with the local industrial and educational ecosystem.
