On 3 June, a group of 50 employees from New Uzbekistan University visited the Center for Islamic Civilization, accompanied by the Chairperson of the University’s Primary Trade Union Committee.
The educational and cultural excursion was organized to strengthen employees’ understanding of the nation’s historical heritage, enrich their knowledge of national and universal values, and provide deeper insight into the significant contributions of Islamic civilization to global science, culture, and human development.
During the visit, university staff explored the Center’s modern infrastructure, innovative exhibitions, research activities, and educational initiatives. Particular interest was shown in the Center’s collection of ancient manuscripts, rare books, historical documents, and valuable cultural heritage artifacts, which left a lasting impression on the participants.
The excursion also provided an opportunity to learn more about the remarkable achievements of renowned scholars such as Imam Al-Bukhari, Imam Al-Maturidi, Mirzo Ulugbek, Abu Rayhan Beruni, Abu Ali Ibn Sina (Avicenna), and Muhammad Al-Khwarizmi, whose contributions have played a vital role in the advancement of science and human knowledge.
The visit served as an important opportunity to strengthen employees’ appreciation of national identity and historical heritage. Such educational initiatives also contribute to fostering unity among staff members, enhancing cultural awareness, and deepening their connection to the rich history and intellectual legacy of Uzbekistan.
