New Uzbekistan University has officially become a member of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), a global initiative established under the auspices of the UN Secretary-General to advance practical solutions for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The membership certificate was presented to the University during the high-level SDSN Stakeholders Meeting held in Tashkent on 11 July 2026. The event brought together representatives of international organizations, leading universities, government institutions, the expert community, and the media.

Representing New Uzbekistan University, Professor Bakhtiyor Eshchanov, Head of the Department of Economics, received the membership certificate from Professor Jeffrey Sachs, President of SDSN and Professor at Columbia University.

This membership opens new opportunities for the University to expand international research collaboration, exchange best practices, and actively contribute to global initiatives supporting the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The partnership further strengthens New Uzbekistan University’s international standing in advancing research, innovation, and evidence-based policymaking, while reinforcing its commitment to sustainable development at both the national and global levels.
