Tashkent, Uzbekistan – A grand opening ceremony was held today at New Uzbekistan University to celebrate the launch of the Mechatronics Laboratory, a state-of-the-art facility established in collaboration with Rheinmetall AG, one of Germany's leading technology companies.

The agreement to create this advanced laboratory was reached a year ago, with Rheinmetall AG providing the necessary grant funding to bring the project to life. The new laboratory is designed to offer students hands-on experience with the latest advancements in automotive engineering and mechatronics, preparing them for the future of the industry.

Equipped with cutting-edge automotive components, including low CO2 emission engine parts, the Mechatronics Laboratory will serve as a vital resource for students to explore and develop innovative technologies in the field. This facility not only supports the educational growth of our students but also contributes to the ongoing research and development of environmentally-friendly automotive technologies.

During the event, a tree-planting ceremony was also held on the university grounds, with representatives from Rheinmetall AG joining university officials and students to mark the occasion. The tree-planting symbolized the university’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, reflecting the goals of the Mechatronics Laboratory to foster greener, more efficient technologies.

The establishment of the Mechatronics Laboratory is a significant step in New Uzbekistan University’s mission to provide world-class education and to contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies in Uzbekistan. It also strengthens the university’s international ties, particularly with leading companies like Rheinmetall AG, as part of its ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in technical education.

We are excited to see how our students will leverage this new facility to enhance their skills, explore new possibilities in automotive engineering, and drive technological advancements for a sustainable future.
