“A Light Step Toward a Bright Future” – Career Day Held at New Uzbekistan University

For the first time, New Uzbekistan University hosted its Career Day 2025 under the slogan “A Light Step Toward a Bright Future.” The event was organized to support the university’s first graduating cohort in confidently entering the job market.

More than 70 organizations and companies from both the public and private sectors participated in the career fair. Among them were some of Uzbekistan’s leading ministries, agencies, and both international and local companies. Notable participants included Uzavtosanoat JSC, Uzbekistan Airways, Uzcard, EPAM Uzbekistan, IT Park, the National Bank of Uzbekistan, Ipak Yuli Bank, and many other prestigious institutions.

During the event, students and graduates had the opportunity to directly engage with employers, present their CVs and portfolios, and in many cases, participate in on-the-spot interviews or register for internship programs. Employers, in turn, delivered presentations about their organizations, in-demand professions, and current job openings.

New Uzbekistan University was established by Presidential Decree No. PQ–5158, with a key mission to train highly qualified graduates equipped with modern knowledge and professional skills, making them competitive in the international labor market.

According to this decree, graduates of the university are included in the National Talent Reserve by the Agency for the Development of Public Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan. After gaining five years of work experience, they are considered promising candidates for leadership positions in various fields.

This provision not only ensures students receive a strong education but also guarantees a pathway for stable professional growth. The Career Day event — “A Light Step Toward a Bright Future” — serves as a practical reflection of this policy, offering young professionals a platform to showcase their potential and build direct connections with top-tier organizations.
