Dr. Obid Khakimov, Ph.D. in Economics, has extensive leadership, research, and executive experience in higher education and government administration in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Dr. Khakimov earned his Master of Science in Economics from Vanderbilt University and his Ph.D. in Economics from Middle Tennessee State University in the USA. He was awarded the State Award “Shuhrat Medali” for his contributions to economic reform and public service. Dr. Khakimov’s leadership and research focus on integrating scientific research into higher education systems, developing advanced academic programs in science and technology, macroeconomic policy, and building world-class university governance based on international standards.
