Biography

Sait Başkaya is an Associate Professor at the School of Management. He is an academic and practitioner in Industrial Management with a PhD in Business Administration and over a decade of experience in teaching, research, and industry-focused consultancy. His expertise spans Industrial and Operations Management, Operations Research, process optimization, quality management and Six Sigma, as well as Industry 4.0, digital transformation, and AI implementation. He studied Business Administration at RWTH Aachen University with a focus on International Management and Operations Research, complemented by an exchange semester at the National University of Singapore, and earned his PhD at the University of Duisburg-Essen. He spent over five years at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) of RWTH Aachen University. His professional experience includes work in Germany, Japan, Oman, Türkiye, China, and Hong Kong, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making in industrial and service contexts.
