Associate Professor

Biography

Dr. Amir Jafari is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Sharif University of Technology (since 2009). His research spans algebraic geometry, number theory, combinatorics, game theory, and cryptography, with extensive contributions to both pure and applied mathematics. Dr. Jafari has held research and teaching appointments at several leading institutions worldwide, including Stanford University, Duke University, Northwestern University, the Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton), and IST Austria. He has also served as CEO of the Maryam Mirzakhani Mathematics Foundation and remains actively involved in mentoring, editorial work, and advancing mathematical education in Iran and abroad.
