Gonçalo Pinto is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at New Uzbekistan University. With a career spanning over three decades, Dr. Pinto has held academic roles in several institutions across Portugal, the Bahamas, Kazakhstan, and Oman. He earned his academic credentials in Portugal and began his teaching journey as a Trainee Assistant at Universidade Nova de Lisboa in 1984. Over the years, he advanced through various academic ranks at universities including Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa, Instituto Piaget, and Sultan Qaboos University.
His teaching portfolio includes a broad range of mathematical subjects such as Algebra, Calculus, Probability Theory, Statistics, and Discrete Mathematics, taught to students from diverse disciplines including Engineering, Physics, and Psychology. Dr. Pinto has also served as a coordinator for a Master’s degree program in Mathematics and has supervised 10 Master’s theses. His primary research interests lie in Ordered Semigroups and Algebraic Semigroups.
