Position Overview:
The Course Assistant will support the teaching and learning process in economics courses by helping instructors with course preparation, student engagement, and administrative tasks. This position is ideal for graduate students or early-career professionals looking to gain experience in academia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of economics courses (e.g., Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, etc.);
- Support instructors during lectures, seminars, or group discussions when required;
- Provide academic assistance to students, including clarification of course materials, assignments, and projects;
- Grade quizzes, assignments, and exams under the instructor’s guidance;
- Manage and update course content on learning platforms (e.g., LMS, Moodle, Canvas);
- Track attendance, maintain grade records, and help gather student feedback;
- Uphold academic integrity and support a high-quality learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Economics, Applied Mathematics, Business, or a related field (or currently enrolled);
- Solid understanding of core economic concepts and models;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly;
- High level of responsibility, attention to detail, and time management;
- Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level or equivalent);
- Previous teaching or academic experience is a plus;
- Confident user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and learning management systems (LMS).
