The MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL is a one-year program structured over five terms, each lasting approximately two months.
Terms 1 to 4: These terms are dedicated to coursework, covering core subjects and electives that build foundational and advanced knowledge in applied linguistics and TESOL.
Term 5: The final term is allocated for the development of a comprehensive Teaching Portfolio. During this period, students compile and reflect upon their teaching experiences, methodologies, and materials, demonstrating their readiness for professional practice.
This structure allows for an immersive learning experience, balancing theoretical instruction with practical application, and culminating in a portfolio that showcases the student's competencies and growth throughout the program.
The program consists of 180 UK credits (ECTS 90 credits) distributed over one year full-time.
Classes are expected to be held three times a week, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

There is no dissertation at the end of the course. Instead, there is a Teaching and Research Portfolio module.
Teaching and Research Portfolio module challenges, you to create a comprehensive Integrated Teaching and Research Portfolio that demonstrates your ability to connect and align your teaching practices with your research endeavors. The portfolio will serve as a reflective and evidence-based showcase of your dual role as an educator and researcher, highlighting how these two domains inform and enhance each other.

Applicants who have completed their bachelor’s degree entirely in English do not need to provide any additional proof of language proficiency.
