Biography

Dr. Avas Khugaev is a physicist who worked as a Leading Scientist and headed the Laboratory of Multiparticle Systems at the Institute of Nuclear Physics, Uzbek Academy of Sciences in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He completed his undergraduate studies in theoretical astrophysics at Rostov-on-Don State University, Russia (1978–1983), and defended his PhD in nuclear physics in 1995. Over his career, he collaborated with various international institutions including Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna, Russia), CENBG (France), Yonsei and KAERI (South Korea), Aarhus University (Denmark), ECT (Italy), and IUCAA (India). He was invited for research stays and lectures in Germany, Bangladesh, and the United States, and was repeatedly awarded by DAAD, TWAS, NATO, and national science foundations for his contributions to theoretical and applied physics.

Conferences attended

Dr. Khugaev actively participated in numerous international conferences throughout his career. He presented oral and poster sessions in countries such as Ukraine, Russia, Austria, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Japan, and India. His talks covered a wide range of subjects from nuclear fission dynamics and light nuclei structure to Lovelock gravity, quantum scattering, and astrophysical applications. He gave plenary talks at conferences like Modern Problems of Nuclear Physics (2003, Samarkand) and delivered invited talks at IAEA in Vienna and multiple Euro-Asian nuclear science forums.
